Who we are. PLN Treatment Monitor is operated by Precision Litigation Northwest, a law firm. We use it only for clients we represent, to collect copies of their own health records from their patient portal (such as MyChart) at their direction.
What we collect. Only the records your health system makes available through its patient portal and that you authorize: for example visit history, clinical notes, test and imaging results, medications, conditions, procedures, and appointments. This policy covers data retrieved from your health system; other records you or your providers send us are handled under our fee agreement.
How you authorize it. You connect by opening the link we send you and signing in to your patient portal. That one authorization lets us retrieve your records on a schedule until you disconnect. You are not notified each time records are retrieved or viewed.
How we use it. Only to represent you in your legal matter. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, use it for research, or share it for any purpose unrelated to your case.
Who can see it. Our staff; your attorneys and legal team; medical experts we retain for your case; and, when your case requires it, opposing parties, insurers, and courts (for example in discovery, settlement, or trial). Our hosting providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Workspace, Clio) store the data under confidentiality and security agreements and do not use it for their own purposes.
Where it is stored. On servers in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest.
How long we keep it. For the life of your legal matter, and up to 7 years after it closes.
Your choices.
Changes. If we change this policy we will tell current clients before the change applies to their data.
